Swimwear is a consumer item that uses non-degradable materials. We recognise  impact and our responsibility to minimise our environmental and social impact by considering sustainability in all areas of our swimwear production and operation of our little business.

Here’s just a few of the things that we do. We appreciate community feedback and tips on how we can further improve our sustainable practices.

We don’t release seasonal collections

Our goal is to create swimwear to be loved long term. Each style has been designed thoughtfully with love, and deserves more than to be seen in only one season.

All of our styles will be continued as long as there is a demand, and we are able to source the sustainable materials.

We acknowledge that updating styles and products is important to continue the fashion industry’s growth, however we have to face the fact that trends and this consumption gives rise to a huge amount of waste and is damaging the environment. And this is not what we’re about.

We provide compatible designs

We want you to cherish your myriam pieces for many seasons to come, so we focus on creating timeless and versatile designs. However we understand that you want something new, something fresh every season. Myriam's swimwear is made to match with past collections. You can only add one top or bottom to match your swimwear and have a fresh look!

We do small scale manufacturing

We do small produce amounts of each swimwear to avoid waste. Here’s one fact; we've been able to sell out all of our products so far and we’ve never thrown away a single swimwear item (how could we do that to our lovely swimwear!).

We've built a strong relationship with our makers. We pay them a fair price in exchange for a high quality product.

Recycled Materials

We use recycled fabric wherewherever possible to minimise our impact on the planet such as...

ECONYL®

100% regenerated nylon yarn derived from pre and post industrial waste such as discarded fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet use, industrial plastic, carpet fluff (the top part of Nylon carpets which have got to the end of their useful life. They are perfect to use as recycled nylon in the fabrics industry)

Top Green ®

TOPGREEN® recycled filament is an outstanding environment-friendly fiber based on the material of recycled post-consumer PET bottles, which were processed through grinding, washing, melting, re-polymerizing, spinning and texturing into yarn.

Repreve ®

Recycled bottles transformed into an amazing fiber, used by the world's leading brands to make athletic and fashion apparel and more. Repreve embeds properties like wicking, adaptive warming and cooling, water repellency, and more at the fiber level. For reliable, durable quality.

Repair Service

We are now offering a repair service for extra assurance of the longevity of your swimwear!

Swimwear is activewear and our swimwear is no exception. Our design considers a lifetime of wear and tear with the durable fabric, liner and quality seams. It is suitable for saltwater or chlorinated water if our aftercare instructions are followed.
